To ensure your mobile notary appointment is handled correctly and legally according to California state guidelines, please review the requirements below and ensure all conditions are met before our arrival.

Please read these instructions carefully before scheduling an appointment:
• The document or form requiring notarization must be completely filled out
• Documents should not contain blanks
• All signer(s) must provide government issued, non-expired photo ID
• The signer must be willing to sign the document
• All signer(s) must be physically present
• The signer(s) must be of sound mind and mentally competent

Reasons why your document will not be notarized:
• Signer presents an expired ID or no identification
• Document contains blank spaces
• Signer is not physically present
• Signer demonstrates a lack of understanding or willingness
• Signer cannot speak English and document isn’t translated
• Signer appears to be intoxicated or sedated
• Witnesses are not present

Acceptable Forms of ID (Unexpired):
• State-issued driver’s license or ID card
• U.S. passport or passport card
• Foreign passport with status
• U.S. military identification

Can I use an expired ID?

Per California notary law, signers must present a current, government-issued photo identification. Expired documents are not acceptable for notarization. Please ensure you have valid identification ready for your appointment.
